The breast cancer survivor group Send Me On Vacation is excited to announce that it is partnering with the Luminosity Wellness Center to present “The Way of the Winding Path” at the San Martin St. Rose Dominican Labyrinth on April 24 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

“The Way of the Winding Path” has a multitude of goals that includes: promoting the health and wellness of individuals through education and programs that encourage wellness, increasing awareness of resources contributing to wellbeing, and inspiring and empowering individuals to take responsibility for their health and healing.

“Our city is full of energy, excitement, hope and healing,” said Cathy Backus, founder of Send Me On Vacation. “Everything we do is possible because of people who run hotels and timeshares and donate accommodations for survivor vacations, and people who own business that are eager to become corporate sponsors because it makes a difference in the lives of women who have struggled with cancer.”

Send Me On Vacation is partnering with the Luminosity Wellness Center to spread awareness of resources for breast cancer survivors who are struggling financially. Send Me On Vacation is a 501 (c)(3) charity whose mission is to provide a much-needed vacation to women with cancer who have undergone treatment and need a place to rejuvenate and heal their body, mind and spirit.

Send Me On Vacation knows that the cost of cancer treatment can be devastating and taking a much-needed vacation may be financially out of the question, so it strives to help ease the burden of recovering both mentally and physically. By sending breast cancer survivors on vacations, the breast cancer survivor group Send Me On Vacation helps survivors release the stress of everyday life while on their road to recovery.
