Today, GeriJoy made available the recording of its Senior Care Technology: A Path to Adoption webinar. The webinar describes GeriJoy's focus groups research at MIT, which attracted top executives and leaders from the fields of geriatric care management, home care, and senior living, and discusses why and how technologies are adopted in senior care.

To follow up, GeriJoy announced today that it will host two webinars on Wednesday, March 5, 2014, one at 2 PM EST for formal caregivers and one at 8 PM EST for family caregivers, to demonstrate how the adoption of GeriJoy's own technology and service can benefit older adults and caregivers alike. The two webinars are entitled Virtual Care Companions: A Formal Caregiver's Intro to GeriJoy and Virtual Care Companions: A Family Caregiver's Intro to GeriJoy, respectively.

Caregivers who are interested in learning more about how technology can improve quality of life for older adults while reducing stress for caregivers can sign up for the webinars at http://www.gerijoy.com.

GeriJoy’s CEO, Victor Wang, who will personally answer attendees’ questions during the live webinars, said, “There’s nothing else quite like the GeriJoy Companion, and these webinars, through interactive demonstration and discussion, will help to communicate the enormous value that we bring to families and care teams.”

About GeriJoy
GeriJoy was founded by MIT researchers to improve quality of life for seniors and caregivers through friendly technology. The GeriJoy Companion, their flagship service, is a virtual pet and companion for the elderly that is available 24/7 and is supported by GeriJoy’s worldwide team of remote care staff. GeriJoy's staff guide the pet’s speech to provide elders with the experience of having an always-available companion that can talk with them about family photos and other information from the Internet. Essentially, the GeriJoy Companion serves as a helpful family member, not only reducing loneliness and improving mental health for elders but also providing peace of mind and reducing stress for caregivers. GeriJoy has been recognized by organizations like AARP, TEDMED, and the US Senate as a leading innovator in senior care, and has documented benefits in care situations ranging from family caregiving to private-duty home care, assisted living, and skilled nursing dementia care.
