On Friday, September 18, HubShout, LLC released its latest eBook, titled “Mobile or Bust: Businesses Need to Know These Mobile Search Statistics."

The eBook covers crucial consumer patterns that reflect how they use the web when they're on the go, says Chad Hill, CEO and Co-Founder.

"This eBook is based on our recent mobile search statistics survey, which was conducted throughout August," Hill says. "The survey’s purpose is to educate business owners who may think they can avoid upgrading their websites to mobile-friendly design."

During this research, HubShout surveyed 450 online respondents, who each answered 10 questions relating to their mobile web and smartphone usage habits. The questions covered what they search for, which apps they use and more.

The eBook covers a range of topics, including general smartphone usage, local search frequency, mobile search as a discovery tool, the types of businesses searched for, the effects of a bad mobile website, and how mobile websites influence consumer attitude. Hill says this eBook demonstrates the importance of having a mobile-friendly website that contains all of the information consumers expect to find on a business's mobile website.
