ServiceMaster Restore by Angler to Sponsor the Yellow Springs 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb to Raise Money for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation
Dayton, OH (PRWEB) August 22, 2014 -- ServiceMaster Restore by Angler out of Dayton, OH is sponsoring and participating in the 1st Annual Yellow Springs 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb at Antioch College. The Memorial Stair Climb is a charity event commemorating the 343 FDNY firefighters who lost their lives on 9/11 and all funds raised by this event will be donated to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation to help support the surviving families of fallen firefighters. This event will take place on the morning of September 27, 2014 at the North Hall Dormitory of Antioch College in Yellow Springs, OH.
The 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb was created to honor the FDNY firefighters who courageously gave their own lives in the rescue effort on September 11, 2001. Each participant in this event will walk or climb the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center to honor a fallen FDNY firefighter by symbolically recreating their heroic journey. Local firefighters and members of the community are invited to take part in this event so that each of the 343 fallen FDNY firefighters can be honored. All funds raised by the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb will be donated to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation so they can create and maintain programs that support surviving family members of fallen firefighters. All those interested in participating must register online and there is a $30 entry cost which includes a T-shirt.

The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation is a non-profit foundation created by Congress in 1992 to honor fallen firefighters across the United States. They help honor the memory these fallen heroes by providing resources and support for their surviving families and working within the Fire Service Community to help prevent deaths in the line of duty.
