Seventh Annual ASEANA Fall Festival to be Held in Downtown Shreveport
SHREVEPORT, La. (PRWEB) August 16, 2018 -- The Seventh Annual ASEANA Fall Festival will be held, 4:30-9 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 27 at The ASEANA Gardens of Shreveport. The ASEANA Gardens of Shreveport are located at 800 Texas Avenue in downtown Shreveport, Louisiana. The ASEANA Fall Festival is a free, family-friendly event celebrating Asian cultures through food, dance, music, and more.
The Seventh Annual ASEANA Fall Festival will spotlight India’s Diwali Festival of Lights – the largest and most important holiday celebrated in India – as well as Asian street foods. There will be a program and fireworks presented by the Indian Association of Shreveport and Bossier City. Food vendors and exhibits will open at 4:30 p.m., with the Diwali program beginning at 5 p.m. and fireworks at 7 p.m.
Authentic Asian street foods will be available for purchase from food vendors. Guests are encouraged to bring cash for purchasing food because many vendors are unable to accept credit or debit cards. Vendors who would like to take part in the festival may register to do so by contacting event coordinator Mary Grace de Joya-Vea at (318) 401-8078. The deadline for vendor applications is Friday, Oct. 5 at 5 p.m.
The ASEANA Spring Festival and the ASEANA Fall Festival are organized and presented annually by The ASEANA Foundation, a non-profit organization based in Shreveport with a mission to promote unity and cultural diversity.
