Succeed Management Solutions, LLC Updates Sexual Harassment and Harassment Prevention Training to Comply with New California FEHA Rules
Lake Oswego, OR (PRWEB) May 30, 2016 -- Succeed Management Solutions, LLC has updated their training course, Sexual Harassment and Abusive Conduct Prevention (California Compliant for Supervisors), to include the most recent additional rules mandated by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing. The update to the Fair Employment and Housing Act went into effect April 1, 2016 and addresses employment discrimination and work leave protections.
Throughout the country, not just in California, organizations are being held liable for demonstrated workplace discrimination, sexual harassment, and abusive conduct. Recently, a higher education technology company in Minneapolis agreed to pay $140,000 and provide significant non-monetary relief after unlawfully firing an employee, who had revealed her gender transition. The employee was banned from her workplace a day after she informed her co-workers that she planned to transition from man to woman. The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) determined that the company’s actions were gender-discriminatory (EEOC News Release, 5/05/16).
Succeed’s Sexual Harassment and Abusive Conduct Prevention course contains the newly required content including: anti-harassment policy requirements, sex stereotyping, additional protected classes, examples of retaliation, and a revised definition of sexual harassment as stated by the California FEHA.
The training includes case studies, interactive activities, and embedded quiz questions for managers to actively apply their knowledge to ensure compliance with the newest regulations. This course is an easy and efficient way to achieve understanding and compliance in any organization.
As with all Succeed courses, this training can be assigned to employees via Training Track™, an application that is designed to automate all aspects of an employee training program. Training Track™ is one of the available applications in Succeed’s web-based Risk Management Center. The Risk Management Center also contains other OSHA-required programs, training materials, and integrated software solutions.
Organizations can also access the training via OpenSesame: Sexual Harassment and Abusive Conduct (California Compliance for Supervisors)
