For the last thirteen years, Global Health Olympics™ inventor and talk radio on VoiceAmerica host Sharon Kleyne has educated people around the world about the importance of body water loss evaporation and good health self-protection.
“You are like a sponge when you’re born,” shares Kleyne in her Commentary. “Nature takes its time, and then you are born to live in the water vapor of the atmosphere of earth and the solar system. That energy,” Kleyne continues, “is like a battery. You’re electrically charged.”
Now we are faced with a new, virulent virus, Coronavirus. “It’s a whole new virus,” says Kleyne. “We’re learning with each other. Researchers and scientists have to take their time to get a vaccine right and while they’re learning, we need to join up together and practice good Global Health Olympics™. How you breathe, sleep, eat and exercise are all so important to maintaining good health.”
Water Life Science® researcher Kleyne’s guest, Dr. Angela Zeng, grew up and was educated in China. She is the lead physician with Ascentage Pharma, a global biopharmaceutical company headquartered in Washington D.C. and Vice-President of Chinese Biopharmaceutical Association. Before becoming a research pharmacologist, Zeng was on the oncology faculty at the Johns Hopkins University where she earned her post-doctoral degree. Zeng was also an attending surgeon with more than 10 years of intensive experience in OB&Gyn.
Responding to Kleyne’s question about her current project, Zeng says she is working on new medicines for cancer patients with a special focus on ovarian cancer. She explains how drug development goes through at least four rigorous test cycles or phases before being approved for general use.
Kleyne asks if it’s true that all humans should drink a lot of water every day to flush toxins from the body and stay hydrated. Zeng agrees, saying “I believe water is very important for our bodies.”
“I’ve always thought that the body makes the decision,” adds Kleyne, “not the person. The body is the decider telling people to drink more water and participate in the Global Health Olympics™. People need to be educated, even the physicians, even the scientists, about the importance of water today.”
Commenting on the dangers of COVID-19, Zeng says “Everyone needs to work together. It’s more contagious than the common flu. The COVID-19 virus seems to last longer on hard surfaces.” Zeng also offers tips for hand washing. If one uses hand sanitizers, she urges a product that is at least 60 percent alcohol. If washing hands with soap, Zeng teaches that one should keep the soap working into the hands for at least twenty seconds before rinsing. Zeng also agrees with Kleyne that people should strive to eat a balanced diet featuring enough protein and vegetables. “We need to boost our immune systems to fight the virus,” says Zeng. “Protein is critical to this process.”
Kleyne also asks if the eyes and dry eyes are especially affected by COVID-19, to which Zeng replies “No. There are no virus-specific symptoms found in the eyes.”
Laughing together, Kleyne “assigns” Dr. Zeng (since she lives and works near Washington, D.C.) to drive around reminding physicians, researchers and politicians to start talking about the importance of water. Kleyne also reminds everyone “to put a child’s heart in your hands.”
