Shofner Vision Center’s “Operation Military June” Provided Funds For Local Not-For-Profit Organizations Supporting Military And Their Families
Nashville, TN (PRWEB) July 28, 2014 -- Shofner Vision Center recently wrapped up another successful Operation Military June. Renowned LASIK and Cataract Surgeon, Dr. Stewart Shofner created “Operation Military June" to provide significant funds and public awareness for local not-for-profit organizations that help both active and retired military personnel and their families. “This was our 2nd annual summer mission and we will proudly give nearly $5,000 to a variety of local not-for-profit organizations who are essential in helping our military and their families,” says Dr. Stewart Shofner.
About Operation Military June Mission
During the month of June, Shofner Vision Center gifted $200 ($100 per eye) for each LASIK or PRK appointment booked (the patient, if deemed a good candidate for LASIK and must subsequently have the procedure anytime during 2014). The patient receives the most affordable LASIK price in Middle Tennessee and Shofner Vision makes the donation on behalf of the patient.
Our military personnel and their families have made and continue to make sacrifices on our behalf. The participating not-for-profits are selfless local organizations that make a difference in the lives of those who have served and also their families. The donations will be distributed among the following not-for-profit organizations: Disabled American Veterans (DAV), Operation Stand Down Nashville, Soldiers and Families Embraced (SAFE), EANGTN Auxiliary Soldier Airman Relief Fund (EASARF) and Special Operations Warrior Fund.
