Make no mistake: the Inc. 5000 was harder to get into this year than ever in its history.
Jacksonville, FL (PRWEB) August 22, 2013
Sourcing Interests Group (SIG), the premier membership organization for sourcing, procurement and outsourcing executives, today announces that it has been named to Inc. magazine’s Inc. 500|5000 list, an annual list of the fastest-growing privately held companies in the U.S. The list was created by the magazine in 1982 honoring the top 500 companies and was expanded to the top 5000 in 2007.
“For 32 years, Inc. has welcomed the fastest-growing private companies in America into a very exclusive club,” Inc. magazine Editor in Chief Eric Schurenberg said in a statement issued to the winners. “Make no mistake: the Inc. 5000 was harder to get into this year than ever in its history.”
SIG, who made the list at #3740, joins the ranks of companies like Microsoft, Oracle, Patagonia, Intuit, Under Armour and Pandora, who were once named on the Inc. 500|5000 list and are now recognized as household names and industry leaders.
“We are proud to be included with this elite group of companies,” said SIG CEO and President Dawn Evans. “We are especially honored to be the only sourcing and outsourcing membership organization on the list.” Said Inc. Editor in Chief Schurenberg, companies on the list are “the hidden champions of job growth and innovation, the real muscle of the American economy.”
