Portee Insurance and Nonprofit Create Arts Center Initiate New Charity Campaign in Silver Spring, MD to Provide for Adults With Mental Illness
Silver Spring, MD (PRWEB) June 24, 2015 -- With a new community program in the Silver Spring, MD area, Portee Insurance has once again teamed up with Create Arts Center, and announced a new charity campaign to raise funds supporting the therapeutic needs of adults with mental illness. Studio Downstairs is a program created especially to address the needs of these adults, providing structured group therapy and other activities. Portee Insurance commences this campaign to help provide the membership fee and art therapy for one adult with a chronic mental illness. Donations may now be made through the campaign’s page at https://www.razoo.com/story/Createartscenter.
Utilizing its own resources and seeking the help of its own network of customers and business partners, Portee Insurance marches on to ensure customers, friends, family and neighbors are always in good hands. The agency just recently launched the master charity program of which the current campaign is part, electing every 30-60 days a new individual, organization or family in need to receive support.
“We’re very happy to support this wonderful program,” said Ralph Portee, the Agency’s principal. “Helping to improve social, emotional and artistic skills is so important for these people, and improving people’s lives is what we work to do every day.”
The agency will promote the current campaign over the course of the next 30-60 days, through its social media channels, email and text message communications, as well as through a monthly magazine delivered to thousands of households in the Silver Spring, MD area, where the agency currently operates. Our Hometown magazine reserves a full page to feature the campaign and details of the cause. The electronic Flipbook version of the current issue may be accessed here: http://www.ourhometownmag.org/porteeinsurance/porteeinsurance-jun-15/.

Once the current campaign is over, Portee Insurance will continue to work closely with Create Arts Center and other nonprofit organizations in the area, to ensure resources are directed to capable hands which can help better the local community, one family or person at a time.
