Miami, FL (PRWEB) November 06, 2015 -- MIA Collective, a leading producer of digital business and technology events in Miami announced today that Citi and arago will be the co-host partners for Sime MIA summits taking place on December 2, 2015, as part of the global digital conference. Citi, one of the world’s leading banks with more than 200 million customers worldwide, will co-host the Sime MIA | Fintech summit; and arago, a global leader in the automation of IT operations, will co-host the Sime MIA | Big Data summit.
Each summit will take up a half-day of the conference and gather around 400 attendees, comprised of global entrepreneurs, startup founders, industry executives and investors. During the course of each summit, attendees can expect knowledge-packed keynotes, engaging panel discussions between industry leaders, hands-on workshops, and plenty of networking opportunities.
“The goal of the summits is to complement the Sime MIA journey with a multi-sensory experience, ranging from coding classes to virtual reality exhibits, and covering some of today’s more significant opportunities in the tech space; all of which will be designed in partnership with our thought-leading partners Citi and arago,” stated Demian Bellumio, co-founder of MIA Collective. Mr. Bellumio added, “The co-hosts will not only work with Ola and the rest of the team to select the most important topics to cover during the summits, but also collaborate with us to ensure we gather the top industry’s leading experts, executives and entrepreneurs under one roof. We believe that the impact that these summits can have on our growing fintech and big data community could be significant and long-lasting, helping to accelerate each of those verticals locally.”
The Sime MIA | Fintech summit will explore the transformation that the finance industry is undergoing via innovations in cryptocurrencies, digital payments and eCommerce, all of which are changing user behavior and creating opportunities for disruptive new entrants. At the summit, executives from leading corporations and fast-moving startups will exchange experiences, interpret global trends, and chart trajectories as they discuss one of the most crucial and rapidly changing industries on the planet. In addition to co-hosting the summit, Citi is also sponsoring a number of activations around Sime MIA, including the Sime MIA 2015 VIP Speaker Dinner and the Citi Bike ® Tour @ Sime MIA, where attendees will be able to visit different startups and art exhibitions around town.
“Innovations in financial technology not only have the ability to transform our industry, but also change the way people live their lives,” said Citi FinTech CEO Heather Cox. “We are thrilled to co-host the Sime MIA summits to help unlock the potential of talented developers from across sectors and support them on their path from ambition to achievement.”
The Sime MIA | Big Data summit will take a deep dive into today’s most exciting and innovative applications of big data, including developments in artificial intelligence, robotic automation, machine learning, data storage, and data visualization. Globally recognized experts and startup leaders will demonstrate how businesses can leverage new tools and technologies to disrupt their industries and leapfrog the competition through the use of Big Data.
Chris Boos, CEO of arago said: “As a European High Tech company that is now also in the US we are very happy to see one of Europe’s most prominent tech conference taking place once again in Miami, one of the most vibrant evolving tech hubs in the US. By supporting the Big Data summit we want to enhance discussions between the business community and great minds from the high-tech world about how smart machines radically change how businesses will work. We are putting a strong emphasis on human-machine collaboration here, as we believe this is the way to get most value from AI and data.”
