Crafts Big Shot

Consumers can find Halloween and steampunk inspiration for their next mixed media project using the latest Tim Holtz® Alterations™ die-cutting and embossing collection for Sizzix®.

Taking die-cutting and embossing creativity in the crafts market further, Tim Holtz® has released his latest Sizzix® Alterations™ product assortment for his motorized Vagabond™ Machine. These additions debuted at the Craft and Hobby Association 2014 Paper Arts show earlier this year.

Highlighting the versatility that steel-rule Bigz™ dies offer, Tim’s fall release includes three new candlelight, lantern and pumpkin designs that can cut various materials, including cardstock, chipboard, fabric, felt, grungeboard™ and wood veneer for use in autumn-themed or other mixed-media projects. An additional Bigz die features a layered leaf design accompanied by a matching Texture Fades™ Embossing Folder to enhance its realistic appearance by embellishing additional dimensional detail.

Also noteworthy is the introduction of Thinlits™ die sets to Tim’s Alterations line, starting with a new alphabet, ALPHANUMERIC, that includes a 121-die set of capital letters, numbers and punctuation. Its added detail and quantity of letters allows crafters to select multiple layout and design options to create an array of artistic possibilities. This includes using the actual die-cuts or the negative image left behind.

Responding to the growing popularity for ShadowPress™ Debossing Folders, a new set for Halloween has arrived with such classic seasonal phrases as “frightful,” “ghoulish,” “spooky” and “trick or treat.” The new clean drop-shadowed fonts create a letterpress look on cards, tags, photographs and scrapbook pages, which can be enhanced with colored inks and markers for an even bolder look.

Completing the collection is a Texture Fades Embossing Folders set with eye chart and formula textured designs, ideal for any Halloween or steampunk fan to raise project inspiration.

The September collection of Tim Holtz Alterations products is now available in local craft boutiques and major retail craft chains around the country. For more information, visit http://www.Sizzix.com/home.
