Small business owners get well-deserved recognition during National Small Business Week (May 12-16, 2014), and Patriot Software is adding its support with a complimentary two months business software.

What is National Small Business Week (NSBW)?
NSBW is a weeklong event sponsored by the Small Business Administration and its partners. Training is offered, speeches are made, and awards are given to entrepreneurs for their undeniable impact on America’s economy.

The impact of small business is measured in many ways. “Small business owners and their employees make up more than half of the workforce,” states Mike Kappel, President of Patriot Software, Inc.

The Facts
The Small Business Administration reports that small businesses dominate the construction, hospitality, wholesale, and “other services” industries. Although the construction industry has suffered in recent years, electronic wholesale trade shows the greatest growth with a 68% increase in employment.

Small businesses (fewer than 500 employees) created 63% of the net new jobs from 2009 to 2012. Yet according the US Census Bureau, the median small company has only 4 employees compared to 1000 employees for a large firm.

Helping Small Business Owners
A serial entrepreneur himself, Kappel understands the struggles of small business owners. “When it comes to running a business, they need software that works!” says Kappel. So to support those small business owners, Patriot Software’s mission is to provide easy-to-use, affordable business software.

In honor of NSBW, Kappel is celebrating small business owners by offering no charge for the first two months of Patriot Software with no obligation.

“To get their 2 month trial of business software, owners can use coupon code SBW46 at sign-up,” says Patriot Software Customer Support Manager, Wendy Smith.

Kappel adds, “If you look at the online offerings for NSBW, there is a focus on making the most of all the technology that is now available. We are adding free business software to that list!”
