Seafood Nutrition Partnership Honors Tailwind Partner Donors
Arlington, VA (PRWEB) October 02, 2015 -- The nonprofit Seafood Nutrition Partnership (SNP) has announced its formal recognition of Rich Products – SeaPak Brand, Long John Silver’s, King & Prince Seafood, Marine Harvest, Glacier Fish Company, Eastern Fish Company, Fortune Fish & Gourmet, Censea, and Harbor Seafood as Tailwind Partners within SNP’s Chairman’s Campaign Circle.
This honor acknowledges the organizations’ important contributions towards SNP’s upcoming national public health education campaign, which launches in October 2015 as an effort to build awareness about the essential nutritional benefits from eating seafood at least twice a week.
“The support of each of our Tailwind Partners is critical in furthering SNP’s effort to address the public health crisis in the U.S., where 70% of deaths are from preventable diseases,” said Linda Cornish, executive director of Seafood Nutrition Partnership. “While USDA HHS dietary guidelines recommend the consumption of seafood twice a week for optimal health, only 1 in 10 Americans follow this advice. With the generous help of our donors, we seek to inspire a healthier America by promoting a nutrient-rich diet that includes seafood.”
