Social Media Analysis Finds Bail Agents Thought of Positively
(PRWEB) July 05, 2013 -- BailCo Bail Bonds (http://bailcobailbonds.com) conducted a month-long data gathering of publicly available Facebook and Twitter mentions to determine how several professions were talked about on the two major social media platforms. With a sample size of 40,447 Facebook and Twitter messages, the company analyzed whether the messages conveyed positive, negative, or neutral sentiments as they related to the select professions.
BailCo Bail Bonds analyzed four professions: bail agents, police officers, attorneys, and politicians. The data gathering included similar names of the professions to better represent the aggregate sentiments--for example, ‘cops’ was included for police officers and ‘lawyers’ was included for attorneys.
The resulting analysis found that most social media mentions for the professions were neutral. Bail agents, police officers, and attorneys each saw a majority of mentions as neutral and there was plurality for politicians. Three of the four professions saw more negative mentions in the remaining mentions than positive ones. There was a divergence in the ratio of positive versus negative mentions for bail agents.
Bail agents were the only one of the professions analyzed that garnered more positive mentions that negative ones. 57% of the non-neutral mentions were positive for bail agents. Nearly all of the positive statements and mentions were from people grateful to bail agents for their services. Similarly, a pattern seemed to emerge for the negative mentions. They were often negative reactions to a Wisconsin bill that would allow bail companies back into the state as that was a heated topic during the data gathering period. Some negative posts thought the fee amounts were excessive or were simply upset about fee collection.
