The Nike Softball Camp at Guilford College, June 14-17 and July 19-22, gives softball players in the state of North Carolina the opportunity to learn from collegiate coaches and improve their game, preparing campers for all types of game situations.

Directing the Nike Softball Camp will be Guilford College Head Coach, Dennis Shores. Shores took over as Guilford's fifth fastpitch softball head coach in January 2007, just prior to the season's start. He inherited a struggling program that won nine games the previous season and had 11 students on the roster. Entering his tenth Guilford campaign, Shores and the Quakers have rewritten the school-record books.

“We are thrilled to have made the move to Guilford College. The city of Greensboro has a strong softball presence and we are excited to be able to provide these players with a chance to improve during the summer months,” says Mike de Surville, Senior Vice President of US Sports Camps. “Coach Shores has built a program and knows how to teach the key fundamentals of the game, which will be a great benefit to our campers.”
