What makes the SoftwareReviews Data Quadrant different? This isn't your standard review process. We include aggregated emotional response ratings in the areas of service, negotiation, product impact, conflict resolution, and strategy and innovation to create a powerful indicator of overall user feeling toward the vendor and its product – all from the software users' point of view. We call this insight the Net Emotional Footprint.
"Enterprise Search used to be a 'nice-to-have' capability – when the amount of electronic content was relatively small and the structured data was not even thought to be searchable. Now the amount and complexity of digital content has grown to such an extent that even the best possible information organization cannot assure user access to it within the required time," said Igor Ikonnikov, research director, Info-Tech Research Group. "Enterprise Search is the only way to effectively find the required data in massive data lakes and lakehouses. It is becoming ubiquitous across all interfaces used to access structured and unstructured data – without the need to switch applications/systems. Search engines have become much smarter, but they still require cognitive input from humans for information classification and organization."
X1 Search, with a Net Emotional Footprint of +91, scored top product in exceeding user expectations in audio and video analytics, content aggregation and indexing, optical character recognition, and vendor support. Sinequa, with a Net Emotional Footprint of +76, excelled in product strategy and rate of improvement, content aggregation and indexing, and multiformat support. Lucidworks, with a Net Emotional Footprint of +70, ranked strongly on ease of customization, business value created, content analytics, and ease of integration.
In general, Enterprise Search software users were most satisfied with results weighting and sorting as well as location-based notification – and were most dissatisfied with social network awareness.
