Five Solomon Associates Consultants to Speak at Oil & Gas Industry Conferences During March

The Asian Refining Technology Conference (ARTC) 17th Annual Meeting takes place March 5-6 in Singapore. Paul Kennedy, Vice President of Asia Operations, at Solomon, will give the Day 2 opening presentation titled “Solomon’s 2014 Insights on the World’s Best Refineries.” In his presentation, Kennedy will highlight the world’s best refineries and what differentiates them based on Solomon’s benchmarking studies. He will also participate in a panel discussion, titled “Keeping Asian Refineries Profitable,” alongside refining professionals from A.T. Kearney, Morgan Stanley, and Foster Wheeler.

Jon Stroup, Senior Consultant at Solomon, will present at the American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM) Annual Meeting in Orlando, Florida, on March 25. His presentation is titled “World’s Best Refineries.” In this presentation, Stroup will speak about the importance of having consistent, positive performance across a broad range of metrics in order to become one of the world’s best refineries. Stroup bases his presentation on the findings of Solomon’s benchmarking studies.
James Feeney, Senior Reliability and Maintenance Consultant at Solomon, will also present at the AFPM Annual Meeting on March 25. His presentation is titled “The Path to World-Class Reliability Performance.” Feeney will discuss refinery/chemical plant reliability and maintenance (RAM) performance benchmarking, explaining how the Solomon International Study of Plant Reliability and Maintenance Effectiveness (RAM Study) has shaped and supported BASF’s regional RAM performance improvement plans. BASF will co-present and explain why the study is important and how they have utilized the results to develop their RAM strategy.
Additionally, Kevin Proops, Project Manager at Solomon, is scheduled to speak at the AFPM Annual Meeting on March 25. The title of his presentation is “Hydrogen Generation and Production Trends.”

Claire Cagnolatti, Vice President of Chemical Studies at Solomon, will give a presentation at the 26th Ethylene Producers Conference, part of the 2014 AIChE Spring Meeting and 10th Global Congress on Process Safety. The annual event takes place at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside in New Orleans, Louisiana, from March 30 until April 3. Cagnolatti will give a presentation titled “Trends in Olefin Plant Reliability-Related Production Loss from 1999-2011,” on April 3 at 8:55 a.m. Her presentation will show long-term trends in the duration of production loss incidents by cause, using data from 1999–2011.
