SourceMedia's American Banker Announces the Appointment of Alan Kline to Editor in Chief
NEW YORK (PRWEB) January 10, 2020 -- SourceMedia, a leading provider of business information, today announced the appointment of Alan Kline as Editor-in-Chief of American Banker, the leading independent information resource for leaders in banking and financial services, and SourceMedia’s flagship brand. In this position, Kline will be responsible for the editorial direction of the publication, in digital and in print, as well as other platforms including podcasts and events. He succeeds Rob Blackwell, who served as the publication’s EIC for the past two and a half years.
Kline brings 22 years of experience with American Banker and its associated titles to his new role, including previous roles as Community Banking editor and Editor-in-Chief of US Banker magazine. Before joining American Banker, Kline served as a reporter for both the Washington Times and the Baltimore Business Journal. His journalism for American Banker has won multiple awards, including a Jesse H. Neal last year for coverage of dramatic increases in consumer credit.
