South Beach Tanning Company continues to expand its national reach through its salon conversion program, and this time, a salon in Webster, NY, a suburb of Rochester, is the lucky salon to take the leap. According to Brian Hibbard, Founder and President of South Beach Tanning, “Converting current salon owners to the South Beach brand has proven to be a very successful growth strategy for both parties. Our marketing and membership programs, coupled with strong brand appeal, has resulted in significant growth for the salons who have converted over the past 18 months.”
Salon owners, Jon and Michelle Byam, decided to convert their former salon, South Beach Tan, to the South Beach Tanning brand because they realized that the tanning market is very competitive, and to stay in the race, they had to grow. Joining a nationally- recognized franchise seemed like the best way to do it, and SBTC was a great fit for them. They felt they needed the support, knowledge and guidance of SBTC and their corporate staff, and they've seen this conversion process take their former 1,400 sq ft., 11-unit tanning salon to a 2,500 sq. ft. 16 –unit salon that they call "hip, cool and state of the art."
