Washington, NC (PRWEB) July 30, 2015 -- AssureVest Insurance Group, a locally owned full service insurance provider with offices in Washington and Williamston, is launching a joint fundraising effort with Exceptional Children Enjoying Life, a local non-profit organization that hosts safe and fun sporting events and activities for special needs children from surrounding communities.
The Exceptional Children Enjoying Life organization, ExCEL, is dedicated to providing children with physical and developmental disabilities a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where they can engage in traditional outdoor recreational activities and sports. ExCEL reports that participating in sporting activities can help children with special needs improve both health and self-confidence while sharpening social skills and building meaningful relationships with peers and adults alike.
“I know first-hand that ExCEL is truly dedicated to our special needs children, and their efforts have been instrumental in improving the lives and well-being of families throughout our community,” says Ryan Whitford, owner and manager of AssureVest Insurance Group. “It’s a great privilege to be able to work with people who are so passionate about what they do, and we’re going to do everything we can to support their mission.”
Whitford and the AssureVest Insurance team are already hard at work reaching out to community members, clients, and business associates in an effort to raise awareness and gather donations for the ExCEL charity, and further efforts are being channeled toward creating an online presence over social media channels that can draw in support and donations from all over North Carolina.
ExCEL marks the second local charity that AssureVest Insurance Group has worked with in their ongoing community involvement campaign. Going forward, Whitford and the AssureVest Insurance team have pledged to select and support at least one new local charity every two months for the foreseeable future.
