Leyden Insurance Agency and Special Olympics Chicago Initiate Charity Drive to Support Children and Adults with Intellectual Disabilities
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) September 27, 2017 -- Leyden Insurance Agency, a northern Illinois firm providing insurance and financial preparation services to communities throughout the greater Chicago metropolitan region, is teaming up with the local chapter of the Special Olympics for a charity event to benefit community members overcoming intellectual and developmental challenges.
Special Olympics Chicago is one of 17 regional chapters of Special Olympics Illinois, and provides both training and competitive events in 22 different sports for athletes with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The Special Olympics itself is the world’s largest sports training and competition program for differently-abled children and adults, boasting more than 4 million athletes in 170 countries around the world.
“We hope everyone in the Chicago community will join us as we support the mission of the Special Olympics to encourage both children and adults with intellectual disabilities,” says Timothy Leyden, chief executive and founder of the Leyden Insurance Agency.
By utilizing a broad range of social media and email platforms, Leyden and his team are reaching out to families and business owners in the Chicago area to garner support for the Special Olympics charity event. Future efforts to promote the charity drive are being planned as well, with a full length feature article set to be released in the newest release of the Leyden Insurance Agency’s Chicago area webzine “Our Hometown”: http://leydenagency.com/magazines/.
This is the second major charity drive hosted by the Leyden Insurance Agency since the firm became a Chicago area representative of the “Agents of Change” charity involvement program. Going forward, Leyden and his team plan to host additional charity events regularly, at the rate of one new event every sixty days.
