We were able to coordinate permits in several different cities to find prime parking locations. This tour really capitalized on pedestrian traffic in the areas where the airstream was parked.

Throughout the summer months of 2013, EventPermits worked with Journelle, a luxury lingerie company, to promote their brand through a multi-city bus tour with stops in Chicago, Washington DC/Georgetown and several visits to New York City.
Journelle converted a vintage 1970 Land Yacht Airstream trailer into a 21-foot long mobile store named “The Grey Lady.” The trailer included the “best of” lines of designer and luxury lingerie, plus a fully-stocked complimentary champagne bar available in select locations and tablet computers for guests to make purchases through Journelle’s online store. In several locations, mannequins or apparel racks were placed outside the trailer along with engaging staff to draw in pedestrians and consumers.
EventPermits assisted Journelle with logistics and coordination by securing parking permits at private parking facilities in Chicago and DC and street parking permits for NYC to ensure the trailer was visible and parked in prime locations. The Grey Lady airstream participated in New York City’s Fashion Week. Parked in front of the Standard Hotel, the trailer featured new fall arrivals and beauty goods from BeautyBar. In addition to parking permits, EventPermits obtained security services by Marty Barnes Security for this city stop on the tour.
“We were able to coordinate permits in several different cities to find prime parking locations,” said Special Events Manager Stella Fitzpatrick. “This tour really capitalized on pedestrian traffic in the areas where the airstream was parked and was very successful.”
EventPermits cuts through the red tape of the special event process, working as a behind-the-scenes support team, exclusively with, and on behalf of their advertising, public relations and event marketing agency clients, in order to secure prime locations and the necessary permits for successful special events from coast to coast.
