All of existence comes to an unfortunate end in the premiere episode of Special Relativity, a radio comedy starring Alex Borstein (Family Guy, Getting On) as a woman who destroys the entire Universe. The half-hour pilot also features Dee Bradley Baker (American Dad!, Phineas and Ferb), James Urbaniak (The Venture Bros., The Office) and Ted Travelstead (Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell) and is written and produced by Seth Madej (MAD, Puppet Nation).

Listeners can stream or download the first episode for free now at SpecialRelativityRadio.com, in the iTunes Podcast store, or from other podcast providers.

Borstein leads the sci-fi comedy's cast as both Nox—the evil genius who decides that the Universe requires an intergalactic mercy killing—and Lucinda, Nox's younger self whom Nox turns to for help when she has second thoughts. Baker and Urbaniak co-star as Nox's arch-enemies, the hedonistic Prince of the Pigeon People and the CEO of weapons manufacturer BoomCo Industries. Travelstead appears as their sycophantic henchmen.

"The phenomenal success of the podcast Serial proved that audiences are captivated by narrative audio," says creator Seth Madej, a TV writer and former senior creative director at Nickelodeon who started his career as a radio producer. "The time's right for the return of scripted radio. Special Relativity's leading the way with the best voice cast you'll find in any show, with or without pictures."

Madej funded the pilot by restoring and selling a 1968 Mercedes-Benz 250S. "I don't have any more Mercedes to sell," he says. "So if listeners want more episodes, I need their help." Fans are being asked to contribute $6 to fund a full six-episode first season. Funds are already accumulating in the project's GoFundMe account. "$1 per episode seems like a reasonable investment to save the entire Universe," Seth says.
