Speedhut, an American-based car gauge manufacturer, announces the release of new 2 1/16" GPS speedometers. With no requirement of a transmission sensor to operate, these new speedometers are easy to install. A fifteen foot cable is included, allowing users to route their antenna to a convenient location.
Speedhut Founder, Aaron Westberg, comments on the company's new product. "We introduced this type of speedometer to eliminate the speed sensor all together. This exciting new type of speedometer does not require any transmission sensor and instead relies on GPS satellites to indicate the speed."
The new 2 1/16" GPS speedometers are great for powersports and hot rod applications. The gauges have an impresive list of features.
- Fits into 2.062" (52mm) dash hole
- Thin composite carbon case design allows easy mounting in tight locations (great for gauge pods)
- Hot start satellite acquisition allows GPS speedo to function within 2-3 seconds of power up
- Works great on ATVs, bikes, and other powersports applications
- Solid aluminum bezel
- Spin Lock Ring is included for easy mounting
- Internal microprocessor controls pointer movement
Installation is extremely easy and only requires 12 volts power and ground. These GPS speedometers are great for applications where there is no transmission sensor present or the user wants the simplicity of just wiring up 12 volts and ground. Speedhut's GPS types of speedometers are used in all types of applications, including anything from farm equipment to Bonneville Salt Flats racers and everything in between.
Mr. Westberg comments. "Our gauge's digital high torque stepper motor ensures accurate pointer movement in racing conditions. And with all of our gauge electronics, GPS speedometers include a lifetime warranty."
The new gauges are available in ranges from 20MPH up to 300 Km/h. For more details on Speedhut's new GPS speedometers visit speedhut.com or call 801-221-1460.
