The Vacanti Wine Glasses Team, based in Colorado, has successfully raised over $75K for their new wine glass collection. The Spirale wine glasses feature a corkscrew-inspired spiral at the bottom of the bowl to trap wine sediment. This patented design not only eliminates the need for a decanter, but also allows consumers to enjoy their wine to the last drop.

“We’re thrilled at the amount of support we’ve gathered so far - especially from our backers,” said Margarita Vacanti, co-founder of Vacanti Wine Glasses. “Pat and I have worked hard over the past few years to perfect Spirale’s design, and we’re looking forward to changing the way people experience wine.”

The sediment that is often found in the bottom of red wines, while completely safe to ingest, often leaves a bitter taste for the consumer. Sediment is often a good indicator of aged, fine wine. While sediment may be more noticeable in some wines, it can influence the consumer’s tasting experience. Spirale’s design aims to solve that issue of enjoying every drop of wine without the gritty and bitter sediment that settles at the bottom of the glass.

The Vacanti Wine Glasses team worked closely with sommeliers, restaurant owners and wineries around the world help perfect Spirale’s design. The team has successfully raised over $75K for their new wine glasses and plans to announce new stretch goal rewards soon. The glasses, which start at $49 for a pair, are expected to ship this November, just in time for the holiday season.
