Splash Media to Donate $25K of Social Media and Video Services to the Winner of Richards Barrentine Values and Ventures® Business Plan Competition
Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) April 10, 2014 -- When some of the finest collegiate minds in the world gather April 11-12 for the fourth annual Richards Barrentine Values and Ventures® Business Plan Competition on the campus of Texas Christian University, Splash Media Group CEO John Dankovchik will be there with an added bonus for the winner.
“This year Splash Media will donate $25,000 worth of social media and video services to the grand prize winner,” Dankovchik said. “Our mission as an agency—to provide global social media marketing that brings brands and consumers together like never before—goes hand in hand with the mission of the Neeley School to develop ethical leaders with a global perspective who help shape the business environment. I’m proud that Splash Media can contribute to this world-class competition.”
Dallas real estate entrepreneurs Nancy Tartaglino Richards and Lisa Barrentine of First Preston HT co-founded the Values and Ventures® Business Plan Competition along with TCU’s Neeley Entrepreneurship Center to honor their successful belief in making money while making meaning.
The Richards Barrentine Values and Ventures® Business Plan Competition focuses on for-profit enterprises that specifically impact society in meaningful ways. For instance, a team from Belmont University won the inaugural Values and Ventures competition in 2011 with their plan to divert waste from landfills while employing disenfranchised people to deconstruct and recycle used mattresses. The business, Spring Back Recycling, celebrated its 30,000th recycled mattress in 2013. The University of Houston team won first prize in 2012 with their plan for an online retailer of products and services for people with disabilities. A team representing George Washington University won last year’s event with an entrepreneurial concept and presentation for Crowdvance, an online fundraising tool for small organizations such as youth sports teams, student groups and small nonprofits that rewards donors with discounts, coupons and other deals from partner companies.
