Splice Machine Partners with ZEROCODE Technology Co. to Bring Intelligent Application Platform to China
SAN FRANCISCO (PRWEB) July 25, 2018 -- Splice Machine, provider of a leading data solution to power intelligent applications, today announced a partnership with ZEROCODE Technology Co. a software reseller with a geographic focus in China. This partnership allows businesses and developers in China to use Splice Machine’s scale-out SQL RDBMS, data warehouse and machine learning platform in one to power a new generation of intelligent, predictive applications.
The ZEROCODE team has more than 25 years of working experience in both conventional enterprise data management systems and emerging big data technologies. ZEROCODE’s co-Founder & GM, Eric Lee, served as VP of Teradata in the Greater China region, General Manager of Teradata Taiwan Co. Ltd., Deputy General Manager of NCR Taiwan Co. Ltd. and System Engineer of AT&T Taiwan Co. Ltd. Simon Yang, President of ZEROCODE, previously worked at eBao Tech Corporation as VP of Sales and Marketing, North Asia, with IBM China as a business development executive, and with Teradata as President of Greater China. ZEROCODE has teams in major cities, including Beijing, Hohhot, Shenyang, Jinan, Shanghai, and Fuzhou.
“We are excited to work with ZEROCODE to expand use of the Splice Machine platform in the booming Chinese market,” said Monte Zweben, Splice Machine CEO and Co-Founder. A technology industry veteran, Zweben spent his early career with the NASA Ames Research Center as the Deputy Chief of the Artificial Intelligence Branch. He then founded and served as chairman and CEO of Red Pepper Software, a supply chain optimization company which later merged with PeopleSoft. Later in his career, he became the founder and CEO of Blue Martini Software - the leader in e-commerce and omni-channel marketing.
“With the Chinese big data market projected to grow to around 57.8 billion yuan by 2020, both companies saw that now was an ideal time to partner. Now, businesses in China will be able to use the power of intelligent applications that go beyond currently available offerings, without being overly complex or costly to develop, deploy, scale and operate.”
The partnership between Splice Machine and ZEROCODE is strengthened by the prior relationships between the teams. Splice Machine’s Head of Product Development and several software developers worked on Teradata’s core database optimizer. Unlike most databases, Splice Machine’s scale-out SQL RDBMS can run fast operational (OLTP) and analytics (OLAP) workloads on the same platform, along with support for machine learning and streaming.
“We are always striving to provide the best solutions to our customers,” said Lee. “This partnership gives our customers the powerful combination Splice Machine’s software and ZEROCODE’s expertise in enterprise databases and data warehouses. Both companies can now innovate together and create a stronger foundation for the big data and AI era in China.”
