Spring Lake Park Developer & Realtor Bring Economic Development to Tillamook County
Rockaway Beach, OR (PRWEB) August 13, 2013 -- Recently, Greg Baumgart, owner and president of Baumgart Construction, Inc. was awarded the contract for the nearly one million dollar Port of Tillamook Bay Airport project, as well as the construction of the new Manzanita Oregon Visitor’s Center at the corner of First Street and Laneda Avenue.
Greg Baumgart has been in business for thirty-eight years and has been helping to keep Tillamook County thriving since he purchased the Spring Lake Park property in 2003 and developed the infrastructure by bringing water down Highway 101 into Twin Rocks. There are only six custom homes left to build and one water-front model home available out of the twenty-seven that comprise the private lake-front community.
“I am hoping to get the word out to the nearby cities where people are looking for possibly a vacation home or perhaps even looking to start a family. As a resident of Spring Lake Park’s serene community, you get the benefits of a private community bordering a spring-fed lake, which is home to beautiful wildlife and world- class fishing, as well as the ocean and seven miles of sandy beach just two blocks away,” said Betty Baumgart. “Rockaway Beach is one of the closest beaches to Portland, making it perfect for city dwellers looking for quality real estate along the coast.”
As the newly appointed member and President of the Tourism Commission for Rockaway Beach, Betty Baumgart is dedicated to bringing in homeowners and visitors to Tillamook County. Between Greg’s construction projects and Betty’s tourism position, this couple is working to keep Tillamook County prosperous.
In addition to the Baumgart’s contributions, Tillamook County residents can enjoy whale watching, crabbing, scenic drives and quaint coastal towns throughout Tillamook County. Every August, the Tillamook County Fair has the world famous Pig-n-Ford Races with thousands of people coming from all over to watch. The Model-T Ford drivers run across the track, grab a 20 pound pig from a cage, run to their car with the pig, hand crank their car, go one lap without losing the pig and try to do this successfully for an additional two laps.
