Neota Logic - The Future of Professional Advice

“This [Neota Logic] application has literally revolutionized the process we use for screening new clients," said Jennifer DaSilva, Founder and Executive Director of Start Small Think Big.

Neota Logic is collaborating with Start Small Think Big, a non-profit that helps New York City's most underserved individuals to start and grow small businesses, to power Start Small’s new Online Application for Assistance. The Application enables Start Small to standardize and formalize complex weightings and logic into a simple, user-friendly, online application.

"Neota Logic is very pleased to partner with Start Small in creating the Online Application for Assistance, which joins Start Small’s public service with our unique expert systems technology," said Michael Mills, CEO of Neota Logic Inc. "The new application streamlines the Start Small process and ultimately enables Start Small to reallocate hundreds of hours a month to helping more New Yorkers."

Start Small focuses on individuals with a proven dedication to their small businesses and with the most potential for growth. Before using Neota Logic to automate their application process, Start Small would review each application by hand, weighing a number of factors to determine whether to move forward with an in-person interview of a potential client.

The Neota Logic Online Application for Assistance simplifies the application for applicants and improves the processes for Start Small by automatically applying business rules and weighted scorings to determine the eligibility of a client for an in-person interview with a member of the Start Small team. The Application also explains to non-eligible applicants why they are currently ineligible and what they can do to increase the likelihood of future eligibility.

“This application has literally revolutionized the process we use for screening new clients. What used to take an hour or more for each prospective client can now be done with the simple click of a button,” said Jennifer DaSilva, Founder and Executive Director of Start Small Think Big. “Especially for a team as lean as ours, efficiencies like this are all the more critical.”

Once an application is submitted, the Neota Logic System sends an in-depth report to Start Small, including a unique grade based on a weighted scale. Start Small will then contact eligible applicants to schedule in-person interviews. The Application can also be used as way for Start Small to demonstrate and document an existing client's progress and possible areas for improvement through reports and grades generated during the Start Small mentoring process.
