St Louis Fashion Designers KM2, Join The Fight To Stop Sex Trafficking
St.Louis, Missouri (PRWEB) February 11, 2014 -- When sisters; Katelyn, Megan, and Mattison started the designer fashion brand KM2, they had more than just cutting edge fashion, designer shoes, and crystal headbands as their motivation. The Gelber sisters always had a passion and a gift for creating unique and inspiring designs which is still a main focus, but from day one, they knew that their deepest purpose was the goal of inspiring and helping people in need.
In honor of their late grandmother's passion for helping women hurt by the fastest growing criminal industry in the world, Sex Trafficking, the founders of KM2 have dedicated their company to not only helping woman hurt by this terrible crime, but also have structured their business in ways that enable women recovering from sex trafficking to find work, healing, and support.
Starting out small KM2 began by committing to donating a percentage of profits to organizations like the Rescue Project, Honeychild, and Crisis International. KM2 has now developed specific products whose sales will give back higher percentages, up to 50%.
One such product is the Mary Jo cuff, named after their late grandmother, and half of all purchases of this cuff with purple satin go back to organizations that help stop sex trafficking and provide support for victims. However, KM2's passion to help does not stop there.
KM2 decided to keep its product assembly in the US in order to create american jobs. Their goal is to one day be able to provide a workplace that is uplifting and healing in which victims of sex trafficking can find employment as well as the mental, physical, and spiritual support they need to overcome the horrifying traumas they have come through.
"As business owners each day brings highs and lows, new mile stones, and new challenges. However the hope for building a business that can give back in monetary ways, and beyond that in very practical ways, keeps us going. It keeps us creating. This goal is the silent partner in our company pushing us forward to not give up. We believe it's very important to keep fighting for what we believe in. We are very blessed to be on a journey that combines our love for fashion with our love for people." - KM2: Katelyn, Megan, and Mattison
The beautiful crystal headbands, designer bracelets, and high fashion shoes of KM2 have been featured in many top fashion and bridal collections, Magazines, and boutiques across america and around the globe.
