St. Charles, Illinois-Based Helping Hand IT Celebrates 20 Years Of Providing Clients With Technology Solutions
ST. CHARLES, Ill. (PRWEB) August 29, 2018 -- Dave Eshoo, president and founder of the St. Charles-based Helping Hand IT Services & Networking, Inc., credits a strong work ethic that came directly from his father’s communication with his clients as a reason for his company to grow and flourish.
This August, Helping Hand IT, which provides technology solutions to businesses in the Chicagoland area, will celebrate its 20th anniversary. Eshoo began the business in 1998 while working as a toolmaker and computer programmer for a manufacturing company, a position he held for 28 years. When he lost his job there, he concentrated on growing his young enterprise.
In the last 20 years, Eshoo noticed a significant change in his industry that was toward delivering efficient methods in service.
“From our standpoint, technology has become more efficient from both sides of the fence,” he explained. “What I mean by that is in the days when I first started the business, I would drive around to all the different companies and I would service them based on their needs whether I was installing a computer or fixing a problem. Today, we do 90 percent of our work remotely with software tools, allowing us to monitor our clients computers and fix any issues remotely.
Always being on the cutting edge is what drives Eshoo and his team in giving solutions for clients. He recalled how the owner of a St. Charles engineering firm with locations in Fox Lake and Lake Geneva, Wisconsin requested an efficient way of distributing documentation such as a file, photo or video.
“We found a synching software that would allow us to replicate the core data in St. Charles and bring it to servers at the other two locations,” Eshoo said. “This made this firm proactive and extremely efficient.”
Linda LeSage, owner of the Elburn, Illinois-based Tech-Weld, Inc., a custom manufacturer of precision welded tubes, tanks and cones, has been using Helping Hand IT for its hardware, software and tech support for 17 years to help her company become more automated.
“The company provides excellent service,” she said. “The team treats you like a customer and wants to make sure that you are satisfied. You are not just a number to them. The company’s goal is to keep you up and running.”
Eshoo credits the success of his business to several factors. One of those is his employees who believe in the company’s philosophy of being committed to providing an exceptional customer service experience and nurturing a team environment. Another is developing strong communications with clients, employees and amongst the team members.
“Those two things make huge differentiators for us,” he said. “If you want to call these things as part of our success for being in business 20 years, then I would agree. These are things that we strive and work for every single day.”
The company also is involved in community charitable projects in several Chicagoland suburbs such as supporting the Wasco baseball team and the Almost Home Foundation, a Schaumburg-based animal rescue nonprofit organization, and participating in Campton Hills’ Economic Development Committee and in Aurora Rotary Club events. Eshoo also supports schools such as Chicago’s Altus Academy, a middle school that helps prepare students to enter college preparatory high schools and Darien’s Kingswood Academy, a Catholic school for students from kindergarten through the eighth grade.
