Stafford to Organise Largest Middle-East Cohort of PG Certificate in Education International (PGCEi) Programme in Dubai
Dubai, UAE (PRWEB) September 07, 2013 -- Stafford has put together the largest Middle-East cohort for PG Certificate in Education International (PGCEi) programme with 60 teachers enrolled in the October, 2013 batch. They are set to organise workshops for participant teachers from all over the Middle-East. They will fly down to Dubai to meet and learn through active classroom discussions and periodical group activities with the professors from the University of Nottingham that rolls out the programme.
Stafford, headquartered in Dubai, is the exclusive partner for the University of Nottingham PGCEi programme in the Middle-East. The PGCEi, awarded by the University of Nottingham, is a level 7 post-graduate programme for teachers who are currently employed and want to enhance their teaching skills in order to grow within their respective educational institutes. The programme is delivered via distance learning and is usually completed within a period of 12 months.
The organisation has successfully organised workshops for the PGCEi programme over the last 4 years and is currently running the 7th PGCEi Middle-East cohort. Workshops are delivered by professors from the University of Nottingham, UK, with an average class size of 40 teachers from across the Middle-East. With each passing year teachers have realised how the PGCEi programme has helped their peers develop and grow in their professional lives on completion of their PGCEi programme and thus resulted in an increase in the popularity of the programme, year after year.
All applicants for the course must be currently teaching and have access to a classroom. As for their educational qualification, they must at least hold a second class honours degree, or have a qualification which is deemed equivalent to an honours degree. Applicants for whom English is not the first language must have an IELTS score.
PGCE strengthens the professional competency of in-service teachers enabling them to gain the skills that would help them progress within their institutions. They develop understanding of various methods and approaches to improve learning experiences of secondary school students.
