Stago Releases a New Educational Webinar on Validation and Verification of Clinical Coagulation Assays and Instrumentation in a Multisite Hospital Network
YORBA LINDA, Calif. (PRWEB) December 18, 2018 -- Coagulation testing is commonly performed in hospital systems to screen for potential bleeding or thrombotic disorders. Newly acquired coagulation testing instruments require an extensive validation process before being used for live patient testing in order to ensure quality test results. Instrument validation can be especially challenging for different hospitals within a health network, due to different testing menus, volumes, and instruments used in these centers. The webinar will provide guidance on how coagulation testing instruments are validated, test results verified, and ensuring continuous quality during the life of the instruments.
Jana Gausman, MT(ASCP) is a Supervisory Medical Technologist overseeing a Specialty Coagulation and Hematology Laboratory in Oklahoma City, OK, executive committee member with the North American Specialized Coagulation Laboratory Association (NASCOLA), and Associate Professor in the College of Clinical Laboratory Science at Oklahoma Christian University.
The free webinar hosted by LabRoots on January 15, 2019 will begin at 8:00am PST, and will then be available on demand following the initial launch. To learn more about this event, the continuing education credits offered, and to register click here.
