Starlight Community Theater Kicks Of the Holiday Season with Frank Capra's Timeless Classic, It's a Wonderful Life

PHOENIX, Nov. 28, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Starlight Community Theater (SCT) will be presenting Frank Capra's It's a Wonderful Life for twelve (12) performances beginning Friday, November 30 and running through Sunday, December 16. This production will mark the fifth show of SCT's 2018-2019 season and is presented by special arrangement through Dramatic Publishing.
Known as a Holiday classic, It's a Wonderful Life follows George Bailey, the Everyman from the small town of Bedford Falls, whose dreams of escape and adventure have been quashed by family obligation and civic duty. After falling into despair, George's guardian angel appears to save him from despair and to remind George of the wonderful life he has been given by showing him a world where he was never born.

Based off of Frank Capra's 1946 film, It's a Wonderful Life was adapted into a play by James W. Rodgers. It was first performed on December 15, 1993 at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. Since then, the play has been performed at thousands of local community theaters, churches and high school around the United States.
