“How to Handle Crabs”, a New Blog Post on PTPower.com, Shows Personal Trainers How to Deal with Negative Naysayers When Starting a Fitness Business
Chino Hills, CA (PRWEB) February 10, 2014 -- The new blog post entitled “How to Handle Crabs” on the fitness marketing site PTPower.com provides personal trainers with insight on how to deal with negative friends and family members who don’t support their decision in starting a fitness business. Written by Bedros Keuilian, creator of the blog and Fit Body Boot Camp franchise founder and president, the article shares the story of how he realized that in order to be successful one has to be surrounded with positive and like-minded people.
“You have to have the right mindset if you want to be a successful fitness business owner, and that means that you have to surround yourself with people who believe in what you do,” explains Keuilian in the new blog post. “If you have nothing but crabs in your life, you won’t ever reach the level of success you’re meant to.”
Hoping to inspire personal trainers to reevaluate the people in their lives, Keuilian starts the article with a story about how he witnessed the “crab mentality” phenomenon firsthand on a trip to Alaska. This happens when a crab, within a bucket of crabs, tries to climb out of the bucket only to be dragged back in by the crabs inside the bucket. Keuilian admits that seeing this happen inspired him to go home and evaluated the people closest to him and that it benefited him and his businesses for the better.
He says, “When I saw the bucket of crabs pull the one crab who was brave enough to make a run for it back in, I realized pretty instantly that there were people in my life who were doing the exact same thing.” Keuilian goes on to say that, “They would find ways to always squash my dreams and the big ideas I had. But they were my friends and I felt comfortable keeping them around because I’ve known them for so long.”
The advice that Keuilian lays out in his new blog can be applied to almost anyone in any situation, but for those who want to start a fitness business this advice is solid and simple to follow. He goes on to show the value of taking a critical look at the people that one may surround themselves with and how he was able to go about making these changes in his own life.
Keuilian goes on to say, “Look at it this way, if your clients are surrounded by people telling them that they’ll never lose weight or get fit then they’ll never reach their fitness goals. You wouldn’t want that for them, would you?”
