ROCKFORD, Ill., Aug. 14, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- State Farm agent Brian Pinkstaff is proudly offering pet medical insurance through Trupanion, a leader in pet insurance. "When you get coverage for your home, cars, property, life, and health, why not your pets too?" said Pinkstaff. "Our pets are family, so why shouldn't you provide the same care?"
Pet medical insurance provides for one's pet when it needs it the most. The policyholder pays the day of any needed medical service; however, Trupanion later reimburses them 90% of out-of-pocket expenses once they meet their deductible.
"Or, Trupanion will pay the vet directly so you won't have to wait for a reimbursement," noted Pinkstaff. "When your pet needs medical attention it can get pricey. You never know when you might need coverage."
Coverage under the pet insurance policy includes all illnesses and injuries, including but not limited to, bite wounds, foreign body ingestion, and patella luxation; and all conditions one's breed may be prone to (hereditary and congenital), including cherry eye, diabetes, hip dysplasia thyroid disease, diagnostic tests, surgeries, hospital stays, medications, veterinary supplements, herbal therapy, prosthetic devices, and carts.
The policy does not cover exam fees; one's deductible, which only has to be met once per injury or illness; sales tax, where applicable; wellness and preventative care; pre-existing conditions; and elective, cosmetic or preventive procedures, such as ear cropping or dew claw removal. Incidents that occur during the policy's waiting period (5 days from policy enrollment for injuries; 30 days from policy enrollment for illnesses) are also not covered.
"I treat my customers like they are family," concluded Pinkstaff. "I do my best to provide honest and superior customer service. I want to be able to provide that same service to my clients who have pets."
