San Mateo, CA (PRWEB) February 18, 2014

This March marks the first year of PorterHouse San Mateo's dry-aging program, and with that in mind, they will celebrate the exclusivity of their In-House Dry-Aging Window throughout the month.

PorterHouse San Mateo is the only steakhouse on the San Francisco Peninsula to dry age steaks in house. PorterHouse San Mateo steaks are dry aged for at least 21 days for exceptional flavor and texture, and they are hung in the window located in the restaurant lobby.

Dry-aged beef is a rarity and typically only served in select restaurants and high-price steakhouses, as well as upscale grocery and butcher shops. The beef is stored in near-freezing temperatures to saturate and centralize flavor while tenderizing the meat. While other restaurants in the San Francisco area offer dry-aged beef, PorterHouse San Mateo is the only one to provide dry aging in-house.

PorterHouse San Mateo Executive Chef Jason Hahn showcases the best of USDA Certified Angus Beef, along with the finest local and seasonal ingredients, featuring contemporary fare in the lounge and classic dry-aged steaks, chops and seafood for dinner.

PorterHouse San Mateo is an American steakhouse located in Downtown San Mateo. Their menu celebrates the finest cuts of beef and fresh, seasonal ingredients. All beef is dry aged in house for an incomparable dining experience.
