Stephen J. Kiraly’s New Book Tackles Brain Disease Head On
BOWEN ISLAND, British Columbia (PRWEB) January 15, 2015 -- Author, psychiatrist and clinical associate professor at the University of British Columbia, Stephen J. Kiraly, believes the brain has incredible staying power, but only if it is given proper care. With his knowledge of neuropsychiatry and neuroendocrinology, Kiraly decided to use his knowledge and help others take proper care of their brains, thus beginning the Healthy Brain Program in 2000.
Kiraly now brings the benefits of the Healthy Brain Program to readers in his new book, “Your Healthy Brain: A Personal & Family Guide to Staying Healthy & Living Longer” (published by Lulu), which details the program and how to implement it into daily life.
“We are obsessed with health but we miss the simple, most fundamental tenets of health, beginning with the brain – the most precious and important organ of health and civilization,” Kiraly says.
The Healthy Brain Program, founded by Kiraly and first written up by Mensa, began in Canada in 2000. Like the brain, the program’s staying power is evident – it is still used today. The program emphasizes the eight pillars of brain, health while also touching on the importance of sleep, mental exercise and more.
By following the guidelines in “Your Healthy Brain,” Kiraly is confident that readers can prevent brain disease and slow the degradation of this vital organ – the brain.
