In author Stephen Thomas Leah’s new fiction, “Deception” (published by Trafford Publishing), readers will encounter a conspiracy in which the medical establishment, eager to continue profiting from patients, actively suppresses a miracle cure for stroke victims.
“Deception” follows Matthew Michellin as he deals with the effects of a stroke. Michellin vacations on the West Indies island of St. Kitts with his Russian girlfriend where he meets a complete stranger. This stranger turns out to be a neurologist named Dr. Mark Cooper.
During the course of their conversation with Cooper, Michellin and his girlfriend discover Cooper’s secret – he has developed a revolutionary treatment for stroke survivors. However, the medical community worked hard to discredit the newly developed treatment.
Throughout the book, the three characters work to expose corruption in the medical community.
Leah says his motivation for writing “Deception” is to show readers the needless suffering of others is a ploy by the medical establishment to make money.
“Given the motivation and determination, anyone can take on the establishment and get it to change its mind when it is in the public’s interest to do so,” Leah believes.
