SUGAR LAND, Texas (PRWEB) February 20, 2019
Traverse Systems, an interdisciplinary team of supply chain professionals whose platform drives a unified understanding of your entire supply chain, today announced the promotion of Steve Askew to Vice President of Accounts.
In his new role, Steve will be responsible for working closely with Traverse Systems clients to maximize the benefit they receive from the Traverse Systems platform. In particular, Steve will oversee the implementation of custom solutions for new and existing clients.
“For the last two decades, Steve has been building invaluable relationships with some of our longest-held clients,” said Greg Holder, CEO of Traverse Systems. “We’re pleased to welcome him into the Vice President role because over the years, he has also exhibited incredible leadership skills that we’re confident will contribute to Traverse Platform’s growth into new markets and capabilities.”
An Industrial Engineer by education and craft, Steve began his career in retail logistics as a distribution center engineer at Dillard’s, Inc. He then moved into business process consulting and project management at Sabre Holdings as a certified Project Management Professional.
He then returned to the retail world in the role of implementation and account manager for Traverse Systems, where he has worked for over 17 years, most recently as an executive director. Steve has used his project management acumen to streamline implementation schedules and to make the implementation process more repeatable and consistent. Through standardization and improved resource alignment, Steve has reduced the average implementation timeline by over a month, resulting in a much shorter timeline to return on investment for Traverse Systems clients.
“I love coming to work every day because I get to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with clients who are creating solutions to challenging problems in their supply chains,” said Steve Askew, VP of Accounts at Traverse Systems. “My new role will allow me to play an even bigger role in architecting and implementing custom solutions on our platform for clients with unique business challenges. ”
