Steve Gelfius Prepares Baseball Players for Every Fielding Situation
Columbus, IN (PRWEB) August 30, 2013 -- “On a trip to Kalamazoo, Mich., to attend a baseball tournament for my 8-year-old grandson, I observed the young ballplayers consistently being confused as to where to throw the baseball when runners were on base,” Steve Gelfius tells. “They obviously had not thought beforehand what to do if the ball were to be hit to them. And then to add to the confusion, a fellow ballplayer would throw it one place while the coach would yell to throw it another.” To help ballplayers better prepare for each situation, Gelfius has penned his new book, “Situation Baseball” (published by AuthorHouse).
“Situation Baseball” teaches specific throwing situations to developing ballplayers for all base-running and fielding situations, helping players know what to do before the ball is hit.
“Developing this mental skill can make the difference between a mediocre and a good baseball player – it can give them the edge,” Gelfius says. “Situation Baseball” gives infielders and outfields the basic solutions to help them develop the instinctive sense of what to do with the ball, perfect for not only players, but coaches and backyard dads.
