Author Steven Cassidy regales readers with a unique presentation of his life after college – living free and independent in the city of Syracuse, New York – in his new book, “Reverie Within” (published by AuthorHouse).
Cassidy depicts a time of his life spent with friends hanging out, doing drugs and drinking alcohol. Various friends come and go during this time in Cassidy’s life, but while he is having fun with his friends, the memory of Amy, whom he had been in love with during college, continues to haunt his thoughts.
The relationship Cassidy shared with Amy was heart-wrenching and very hard to get over. He shares a journal he kept while on a trip to Europe to get away from her.
“The reader might appreciate the fun I had in my young life,” Cassidy says. “My life is rather unique and my intent is to entertain.”
An excerpt from “Reverie Within”:
“As I look back at that time I spent right after leaving school; luck played an important role in my life; a significance based on my needs vs. my aspirations. It also played a role in people’s attitudes around that little downtown village; an area so desolate that the practitioners placed their sole beliefs in something like luck as opposed to religion; the last role of the dice instead of prayer.”
