Pinot’s Palette, the nation’s premier paint and sip franchise, marks its 10th anniversary this month.

Founded in 2009 by Beth and Charles Willis and Craig Ceccanti, the franchise has grown to 141 studios across the United States and Canada and has turned the entrepreneurial dreams of more than 190 people into reality. The franchise is also one of the largest employers of professional artists, who serve as class instructors.

“When we started, I never could have imagined sharing a 10th anniversary with so many amazing customers, franchise owners, headquarters staff, and artists,” says Craig Ceccanti, CEO and Co-Founder. “The passion and dedication of our owners and employees nationwide have helped us become an industry leader. The idea for Pinot’s Palette came many years earlier when Craig attended an outdoor painting class with his family. Fearing he’d be bored, Craig brought a case of beer to share and lighten the mood. Fast forward to 2009. Craig and Charles were tossing around potential business ideas on the golf course when the two turned Craig’s family painting story into the idea for Pinot’s Palette. The concept was further enhanced by input from Beth about the artistic spin the business could have on traditional girls’ night out, date night, and corporate events.

Since its inception, Pinot’s Palette has offered guests a social experience that combines their favorite cocktails and snacks with an opportunity to create a masterpiece. Guests sign up online to attend a two or three-hour painting class where they are instructed by a local, trained artist on how to recreate the featured painting of the night. The concept has put an artistic spin on traditional girls’ night out, date night and corporate events.

The franchise has also been recognized as a top franchise opportunity by some of the most prestigious and respected business lists, including the Entrepreneur Franchise 500, Inc. 5000, and Franchise Business Review Top 200.
