Rottenstein Law Group LLP Announces Relaunch of Its Stryker Lawsuits Center
New York, NY (PRWEB) January 08, 2014 -- Patients who received a Stryker ABG II or Rejuvenate metal-on-metal hip implant will now have access to more information on Stryker hip lawsuits, side effects and settlements with the relaunch of the Rottenstein Law Group LLP’s Stryker Lawsuits Center at http://www.stryker-lawsuits.com.
Hip implant recipients are filing Stryker lawsuits alleging that the company’s metal-on-metal hip implant products, the Rejuvenate and the ABG II (both recalled in July 2012) cause serious side effects such as metal poisoning and device failure, according to court documents (In re: Stryker Rejuvenate and ABG II Hip Implant Products Liability Litigation; MDL-2441, U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota). The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has issued a warning about metal-on-metal hip implants that supports claimants’ allegations.*
The Stryker Lawsuits Center contains comprehensive information on the history behind the alleged problems with the metal-on-metal hip implants, in addition to updates about state and national lawsuits and information on how to determine eligibility to file a lawsuit.
Settlements
On Dec. 16, Stryker agreed to settle four hip lawsuits in state court in New Jersey for undisclosed sums, according to court documents (In re: Stryker Rejuvenate Hip Stem and the ABG II Modular Hip Stem Litigation; MCL-296, Bergen County Superior Court, New Jersey).
This followed news that Stryker had set aside between $700 million and $1.1 billion for litigation expenses, according to an Oct. 23 Wall Street Journal article.**
There are nearly 500 Stryker lawsuits pending in a consolidation of cases in U.S. District Court in Minnesota called a “multidistrict litigation” and more than 500 in a New Jersey consolidation called a “multicounty litigation.”
The Rottenstein Law Group LLP encourages those who believe they have suffered from the Stryker implants’ alleged side effects to visit its FAQ page to learn more about Stryker hip lawsuits and side effects, and how to contact an attorney for a free consultation.
