Students Affected by Hurricane Florence to Receive Complimentary Remote Proctoring From Proctorio
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (PRWEB) September 21, 2018 -- In the wake of Hurricane Florence, tens of thousands of students across North and South Carolina are out of school while institutions continue to assess damage. Proctorio announced today that, for anyone affected by the hurricane, it will offer its online proctoring services without charge to allow students to take exams from remote locations.
Founder and CEO, Mike Olsen, stated, “It’s a serious issue whenever education is disrupted for the victims of natural disaster. Our mission has always been to create more learning opportunities with the help of technology. That’s why we’re offering free remote proctoring to any institution affected by this unfortunate circumstance.”
Efforts to assess damage to institutions and develop logistics for shifting students around to different schools are still ongoing. According to WCET, school officials in New Hanover County are considering mobile classrooms.
