Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) November 21, 2013 -- Baltimore-based STX, LLC, a global sporting goods leader, is proud to announce that Jim Benton, Director of Product Management, has been named to the Baltimore Business Journal’s 40 Under 40.
Since joining STX in 2007, Benton, 38, has been an integral member of the leadership team, initially as Director of Marketing, before taking on his current role in 2013. An expert in product development, brand management and business analysis, Benton has most recently driven STX's entry into the ice hockey market.
“STX has leaned heavily on Jim's instincts, smarts, and passion for innovation to lead us into ice hockey," said STX President Jason Goger. "Jim and his team spent over two years in research, soliciting feedback from players and establishing a product road map for the new division. We are very proud of his selection in the BBJ's 40 Under 40 and feel it's a well-earned designation.”
“It is an honor to be recognized amongst this very accomplished list of fellow Baltimore business people,” said Benton. “I have had the pleasure of spending my entire professional career based here in Baltimore and I am especially proud for this acknowledgement as part of the STX family.”
The Baltimore Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 recognizes local up-and-comers in the workplace for their commitment to their organization and surrounding community. The winners were announced in the BBJ’s November 15th issue. Benton, along with the other nominees, will be honored during an event on December 5, 2013 at Rams Head Center Stage.
