Baltimore, MD (PRWEB) May 22, 2014 -- Baltimore-based STX, LLC, a global sporting goods leader, today announced its schedule of events for this year’s NCAA Lacrosse Championships to be held in Baltimore on May 24 – 26.
As the official lacrosse equipment supplier of the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse Championships, STX will kick off championship weekend with a VIP party on Friday, May 23 for coaches and media from all over the country, welcoming them to Baltimore. STX will also host an exclusive Major League Lacrosse (MLL) party on May 24.
At the NCAA’s LaXperience Fan Fest, STX will interact with fans with onsite displays, promotions and product trials. Many Team STX professional athletes will also be in attendance to sign autographs and meet fans at the event, which is free of charge.
STX will also play a leading role in the Coca-Cola® NCAA® Youth Clinic, a community outreach program that connects children ages 8 to 14, and provides them with resources designed to have a lasting impact. STX Athlete and MLL star Kyle Harrison will serve as director of the clinic and help coach participants and provide valuable information on fitness, healthy lifestyle and sportsmanship. The youth clinic will be held at Homewood Field from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. before the NCAA DI Men’s Lacrosse Championship game May 26.
Additionally, Team STX elite women’s players including Josie Owen, Sam Farrell and Kitty Cullen will coach a lacrosse clinic for girls 12 and under before the NCAA DI Women’s Lacrosse Championship game May 25.
“STX plans to be front and center to welcome the lacrosse world to Baltimore,” said Ed Saunders, Director of Marketing at STX. “From taking a lead role at LaXperience Fan Fest, to local clinics and product demonstrations, we will be actively engaged with fans of all ages that come out for the championship.”
As the official lacrosse equipment supplier, STX provides considerable support in terms of equipment, including balls and nets, for the venues leading up to the final and for the men’s finals at M&T Bank Stadium and the women’s finals at Towson University’s Johnny Unitas Stadium.
STX is the only modern lacrosse equipment supplier that has been a part of every NCAA men’s tournament, since the inaugural event in 1970. In fact, every goal was scored with an STX stick in the very first men’s championship.
