Daytop New Jersey to Open a New Outpatient and Administration Building in Pittsgrove, N.J.
MENDHAM, N.J. (PRWEB) June 16, 2015 -- On Wednesday, June 17 at 11:00 a.m. Daytop New Jersey, a comprehensive substance abuse treatment and education programs for teens, adults, their families and women struggling with recovery, will host a ribbon ceremony to mark the opening of its new outpatient and administration building located at 9 Harding Highway in Pittsgrove, N.J.
The state-of-the-art, 11,000-square-foot facility, was made possible by grants from the New Jersey Department of Human Services and The Salem Health and Wellness Foundation. It is located on the 9.5-acre site where Daytop New Jersey’s Pittsgrove residential facility is also located. Services and programs will include academic programs, individual and group therapy, psychiatric services, gender- based therapy and counseling, pro-social peer-based recreational activities, adventure-based counseling, co-occurring substance abuse and mental health assessment, treatment, and various workshops and re-entry and life skills programs.
Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno will join the ribbon cutting ceremony, at which remarks will also be delivered by Sen. Anthony R. Bucco, Kathleen (‘Kass’) Foster of Parent to Parent, President and CEO of Daytop New Jersey James Curtin and one of Daytop’s clients.
“At a time when the citizens of our state are in the throws of one of the most devastating heroin epidemics in our states history, the new facility will allow Daytop New Jersey to serve more young people and their families at a time when the need has never been greater,” said James P. Curtin, President of Daytop New Jersey.
Annually Daytop New Jersey delivers comprehensive substance abuse treatment and education programs to more than 500 teenagers, adults and their families. Daytop’s programs are individualized, family-based, cost-effective, peer-oriented and multi-disciplinary in nature. Daytop operates outpatient facilities in Hunterdon, Parsippany, and Ocean Counties and operates residential programs in Mendham, Skillman and Pittsgrove, N.J
