After weeks of waiting for the final results, Sunset Magazine announced the winners in its first ever Sunset Travel Awards, naming Glenwood Hot Springs the winner for Best Hotel Pool. Glenwood Hot Springs Pool and all the category winners are featured in Sunset’s June, 2015 issue.

Sunset Magazine honored Glenwood Hot Springs as BEST HOTEL POOL

To be a finalist for a Sunset Travel Award puts you in extremely good company; to be a winner puts you among a group of elite A-list destinations and experiences.

In February, Sunset Magazine notified Glenwood Hot Springs that it was among the final four contenders in the category of Best Hotel Pool in its 2015 Sunset Travel Awards. Since then weeks have passed as tourism professionals decided which property would receive the top honors in each category. On Thursday, May 21, the West’s premier travel and lifestyle publication announced the winners, naming Glenwood Hot Springs the winner in the Best Hotel Pool category. Glenwood Hot Springs, along with winners in 30 travel-related categories are featured in the June issue of Sunset magazine.

Known as the world’s largest mineral hot springs pool, Glenwood Hot Springs is an inimitable, one-of-a -kind attraction. For 127 years the historic resort property has been drawing visitors to swim and soak in its healing waters. Not only is the source spring rich in therapeutic dissolved minerals, at 122°F (51°C) it is considered one of the hottest springs and also one of the most prolific in the world, producing over 3 million gallons of water per day! The water is cooled down before it enters the two enormous outdoor pools.

Glenwood Hot Springs Pool is one of 30 winners in the first-ever Sunset Travel Awards, which honor the West’s top destinations in lodging, dining, cultural tourism, outdoor adventure, environmental stewardship, and more. Other contenders for Best Hotel Pool included Alderbrook Resort & Spa in Union, Wash.; Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa in Ko-Olina, Hawaii and Tropicana Las Vegas Hotel Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nev.

Glenwood Hot Springs Pool, along with all the winners of the 2015 Sunset Travel Awards, is currently featured in the June issue of Sunset magazine on newsstands now and on Sunset reaches six million readers per month.

In the past month, Glenwood Hot Springs has received significant media attention. In addition to the Sunset’s Best Hotel Pool award, Glenwood Hot Springs was named a runner-up in USA Today’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards and TripAdvisor, the world’s largest online travel site, honored the Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge with its Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame Award which is awarded to properties that receive a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for five consecutive years.
